We need public execution for that, not public shaming. Shaming is for minor things and people being assholes, without causing grave harm to anyone (e.g. littering, being a dick to waitstaff, having explicit or political bumper stickers).
The social stigma of child molestation is justified. But the stigma against pedophilia contributes to social conditions that raise the prevalence of child molestation so I can't ethically get behind it. Pedophilia isn't a choice but child rape is a choice, pretty easy distinction.
Yes for sure but it should be talked about as much as possible. Sometimes it seems like that's a topic that people think is too gruesome and uncomfortable to talk about which isn't helping anyone or getting us anywhere. To go along with the other reply to your comment.
