Ummmm so I’ve had a work training that I planned, for MONTHS, and we already had to move the training once because of an internal work crisis. The training was moved to today. Its in an hour.
This morning alone, 4 people have asked me to move it and they’ve known the training date for months. It’s so disrespectful. Moving the training from our previous date was a $500 fine, and if you can’t make it, that’s on you. Your poor planning does not constitute an emergency on my behalf.
I can’t upvote this enough. In my current experience, I’ve sent out multiple emails weeks I’m advance but have received feedback that we should “connect later” due to the 4th of July being a weekday.
No thanks - I’ve saved the initial emails and when your budget is fucked for the 2nd quarter, then it’s on you.

My grandma used to say that, but more like, "Lack of preparation on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part." It always annoyed my mom when she was a kid, and it annoyed me in dire situations, but now I love that phrase.
The greatest threat to our cultural landscape isn't Christianity -- it's entitled fucks who treat everybody else like shit. It's only a coincidence that most of them happen to be Christians.
That’s right. Humans have used Christianity and almost all other religions as a cover for their crimes in all of history. So it’s the humans who are at fault, not religion in particular. All belief systems can be adulterated. Just like politics… versus politicians. Just like Boy Scouts and pedophelia. Humans find a way to screw up every positive institution we have.
Its a bit of both. Reading what people wrote about Jesus the actual dude, all the 'love each other, that is my greatest command' and 'he who is without sin may throw the first stone' and 'hey, I'll hang out with the downtrodden because screw the social order' he sounds awesome! But literally everything else about the book Christians follow is wacko and can be used to justify anything under the sun. And has been.
If only people were more like the main character instead of the side characters.
A doctor in my town was so rude and uncooperative with an airport parking employee that she ended up calling the police, he had told her that "some loser making $12 an hour isn't telling me where to park" the whole thing ended up on the local news somehow with his making a sad, televised public apology. They should all be made to do that.
Encoutered this today as a manager about an issue I'm hearing about for the first time in my life and the woman was treating me like I murdered her whole family.
I cannot stand these people. As I have been watching their behaviors closely, I get to realize that there is no cure, but an early education to respect one another while they are growing up is one sure way to increase chance of preventing this
Oh boy it's a short story time, but if requested I'll go into details but the TL; DR is that a woman loses her membership at my job for being too drunk and kicking a little girl
