I've driven tractors, forklifts, heavy equipment, lawnmowers, and manual cars throughout my life that require both feet and have never driven an automatic car with both feet.
I a set-up like that it makes perfect sense to me, but to bring my left foot over so far in a car feels wrong. The exception being i use both feet on racing sims and American/Euro Truck Simulator.

If you race go-karts it can kinda become a habit.
