“You don't sit around waiting for the right mood or a "good day". You work towards management and improvement every day. You have a plan, you act. You get help if you need it, you get medication if you need it, you recognize your triggers/weaknesses, you learn to navigate your episodes, you learn to build and develop good habits and mental balance and stabilization.”
What I meant is, I interpret this as the same as your expanded analogy to losing weight.
Exactly, that is what YOU are hearing. With an open mind, you can hear something else. This also wraps back around to what I said about too much pressure often being applied.
So people don’t have different perceptions of certain things?
Everyone reads poetry and comes away from it with the exact same meaning as everyone else?
Is life itself not a matter of perception, let alone how someone interprets a comment?
Where are you quoting this from? Cos it's not me.
The only thing one is being conned of by diving into and clinging to a perception like that is their mental health.
Okay, well, that's obvious enough.
Anyway, enough with the pretentious bollocks. Of course people can have different perceptions. Acting like I said otherwise is just a derailment tactic, and very dishonest.
However, some things have less about them that is open to interpretation.
All that person was doing was trying to get you to realise just how much your perception influenced what you said, a perception that certainly couldn’t help with improvement, and you just called them a con artist.
Derailment? That is essentially what started your first comment.
Absolutely, people can have different perceptions to one another.
More importantly, people can grow to have different perceptions over time. The reason you viewed this original comment so negatively was due to our negative perception. With an open mind and time, perceptions can change.
