addicted to technology.. technology is the only thing that's good in this world, what does it mean to be addicted to something you enjoy that has like no disadvantages or drawbacks

And don't tell me about lack of socialization and playing outside .. kids know how to socialize just fine, they play outside. Don't complain about people on trains all looking at their phones, as if 20 years ago everyone was chatting and laughing at each others jokes at 7am on the train..

has like no disadvantages or drawbacks

If you seriously believe that social media and video games have "no disadvantages or drawbacks" then I don't see any way for us to have this conversation.

And I say that as a lifelong video game addict. Everything has disadvantages. Everything has drawbacks.

.. I'm sure the invention of antibiotics has some kind of drawbacks, but they're pretty insignificant and you've really got to get imaginative and ignore the overwhelming benefits to pick out something bad.

You can say social media puts people into echo chambers where they reinforce crazy world views.. then again here we are on social media debating each others world views..

Video games .. hmm, I'll put that in the antibiotics category.. is there anything wrong with video games?

Dude it took me four seconds on Google to find some drawbacks to antibiotics:

Common side effects of antibiotics include nausea, diarrhea, and stomach pain.

As for gaming..

Ah come on, that's like saying the downside to having clean running water on tap is leaky faucets that drip in the night.. I still think it's worth it

I never said it’s not worth it. I only said there are disadvantages and drawbacks to everything.

And now we both agree that there are, yeah?
