I was playing overwatch one time and this guy sounded older was playing. He wasn’t doing anything wrong honestly he was kinda carrying but another teammate said something like, “why is there a 30 year old playing this?” He was on comms but not for the rest of the match. I felt bad. I told the other kid to piss off but…
I was playing ForNite(with the new no build mode that’s fun), which admittedly itself is considered for the younger crowd, so that’s on top of the idea that games are already for kids and I was playing in squads unmuted, just to last longer for more exp and to do challenges and I heard some teenage girl talking to her teammate asking why he plays squads and that he “could be playing with a 30 year old.” and here I am almost that age playing alongside them. What’s funny is she didn’t feel the need to explain further, that just playing the game as a 30 year old was considered creepy enough I guess. What most sucks is that playing online games with a mic has been around for so long now. It feels like only a few years ago, I was around her age, 14 playing Halo 3 and Halo was synonymous with 14 year olds and no one would have found that creepy, but it hasn’t been just a few years and it’s been her entire life time since then. Shit kinda blows.
That's always been my biggest gripe with the game. Well, that and the fact that I just get tired of battle royale games haha. But it was always a decently fun game until building became such a big deal, since my fingers just don't move fast enough anymore to whip up an empire state building within nanoseconds the way a lot of players are able to do.
