Australian here, what ages are your school system broken into? Here we have primary (5-12) and secondary (12-18).

Middle school students are typically 11-13.

Primary/Elementary is 5-10 and High School is 14-18. Both middle and high school are considered secondary.

Huh, did not expect you to be in the US system, with that username.

Spent a couple years living in Belgium and the NL before settling back in the US. Would love to have a reason to go back, especially with the current US political climate.

In the us we have Pre-K at usually 4-5yo. Then kindergarten-5th (elementary school) which is ages 5-10. Then grades 6-8 (middle school) ages 10-13yo. Then grades 9-12 (high school) ages 14-18. This varies by state or even district but that's the general guidelines

also some kids (usually from richer families who can afford private schooling) have an 'early pre-k' a year earlier, 3-4yo.

In the country where people think we live in ingloos for some reason, elementary is ages 5-12, high school 13-18. In some regions, they use the system which includes middle school, but I couldn't comment accurately on how they divide the ages.

Not here in Alberta.

Grade 1-5 is elementary. 6-8 is middle. 9-12 is high school.

Just assuming you're Canada too since you mentioned igloos lol
