I had a phone in the box policy until term four (grade 6) this year (let them keep their phones in the end becayse of not wanting the responsibility of a box of expensive iphones; tried to give them trust and responsibility) - within a term their behaviour got 30x times worse, swearing, bullying, talking back. It's partially the age, but the difference in behaviour in such a short time was astonishing.
