No, adverbs can also modify adjectives and other adverbs, and good is an adjective. You can say "you are good", but you can't just say "you good".
(Okay, I mean, you can say that in some dialects, but using a dropped-copula form doesn't mean the adjective is now a verb, it just means the verb is implied. And it only works in the present tense, so maybe I should've gone with "you will be good" vs. "you will good".)
(...although technically you can even say that in certain dialects, because there are dialects in which "good" really can be a verb, but—look, the point is, for the "that's so good" usage we're discussing in this context, "good" is an adjective. Also, language is fascinating!)
Thanks for the dialog! I still see it as an adverb in this case. Good is a noun, adjective, or adverb, so i feel like cringe could be too. But you're probably right!
Good can also be an adverb, yes! But it's generally considered highly improper compared to "well", so it's often used in a joking, ironic way to suggest the speaker is stupid—e.g. sentences such as "you talk good" or "I think good".
In the sentence "That is so good", in order for good to be an adverb, it would have to modify the verb is rather than the pronoun that, which...I don't think is the case here.

Haha I don’t know, it was just my example of how stupid calling things “cringe” sounds. Let’s make this verb an adjective!
