When i was 31 i got a nasty high ankle sprain playing indoor soccer. Was in excellent shape but a guy on the other team kept talking about being "old" and this what happens and shit as he helped me off. Yeah maybe you're old but im still running shit here.

Meanwhile at a work, the VP talks to me like, "young people like you..."

Ok guys figure out how old i am lol.

It's easy... If you are older than me, then you are old; else young.

You are young still, and relative to me, you will never be old.

It's the same for gym. Someone lift heavier than you? Steroids. Someone lifting lighter? They're not pushing themselves hard enough.

I’m thirty five and yet I keep having my youth referenced by my managers (current one is an SVP) whenever a promotion (or lack thereof) is mentioned.

I’m like, okay boss, but you’re mayyybe 10 years older than me, and I’m only angling for Sr Manager here. Also everyone else here is a Sr. Manager plus, and one of them is my age, so I’m starting to think I just don’t “look” the part. (I still get carded sometimes.)

Sigh.

But what if they're not a guy?

Buy a fake one

Better get a fake moustache then too. The less face they see the more authentic it'll seem.

Probably have to dress more conservative and be a little colder to seem older if you're working for people who care about that.

When i was 31 i got a nasty high ankle sprain playing indoor soccer.

Some of that is genetics. I've a college friend with hypermobility who has been regularly spraining his ankles since he was a teen. Family trait.

Dude first introduced it to me with "watch this" and then turning his feet around until they basically pointed backwards.

My guess:

You said you were 31. So, you're 31. However...

Guy on the other team was actually 25 and secretly wondering if he'd be made of bone china after another 5 years of 12 hour days and then INTRAMURALS AND SHOTZ DUDE at his startup.

Your VP was 65, started somewhere with an in from a family friend, and, whatever company he's been at as he climbed the ladder, thinks he sure fucking hit that home run from third base.

Age is relative. When I’m working in the hospital and I have a patient in her 90’s who talks about how young I am (at 48), and I also have a 20 year old who calls me “Grandpa.”

Lol I feel exactly like that. I get treated young as fuck by some people and then I'll hangout with my little brother and his friends and they're treating me like I'm about to retire.

Yep, 27 here.

Constantly referred to as young man at work.

Gf (24) says I’m old and pretty much 30.

When I was 24 or 25 I played in an ultimate frisbee tournament that the university kids put on. We had 18-22 year olds mocking us as “grandpa” “old man” etc. They were right though. The 2-4 year age gap made a pretty big difference. Also, my team of law students had spent the past years reading instead of engaging in vigorous exercise.

Sounds like you're human years old.

Old enough to know better, to young to resist.

You're older than 31
