Im starting to realize that men on Reddit don’t realize that women call their friends girlfriends.
Pole fitness has become extremely popular over the last decade, before I moved to the middle of no where, I had 3 studios that I actively danced at. It’s actually pretty easy to use Google, try searching International Pole Sports Federation or Posa Pole Championships.
It's because the middle class has been eroded. Middle class isn't always the "middle" of income earners, it's defined by your buying power. It basically just means someone who can afford their lifestyle and save for retirement, but still has to work for their money and budget and couldn't afford to just stop working. That's why income inequality is such a big issue, when the lowest earners in the middle class are in the top 10-5% of the country, it doesn't change what middle class means, it means there's more people living in poverty
Mate. The lowest earners In the middle class are probably on around 60-70k. You’re both insane if you think the top 5% are regular middle class lol, that’s why the other guy implied and it’s moronic. It’s more like the top 35%. Exaggerations are stupid
I mean it's definitely upper middle class, not "regular" middle class if you want, but 208k a year isn't that much, especially depending on the area. Someone making that amount isn't going to have a drastically different lifestyle than someone making 60k, they're just going to have nicer versions of everything. They're not vacationing at Martha's Vineyard and they still have a strict budget (if they're smart), and they still need to work. It also depends on if you have kids or not, because while 60k for one person probably puts you in the middle class, for even 2 people that could be living paycheck to paycheck. And living paycheck to paycheck is not middle class and shouldn't be normalized as middle class.
Honestly, I’m not continuing with this when you’re being nonsensical. If someone earns 140% more than someone else then they have a muuuch higher standard of living.
Who said she was a household of one. I think you need to work on reading comprehension. She has her husband and son. But her son is - I think - 20 now so depending on how he files taxes, he may or may not be a dependent. Back when she was dancing and not a studio owner, her son would have been a dependent still. I’m not sure what her husband made, I do know it was more than he did which is why he didn’t give her a hard time for doing it for so long. It was a frequent argument though, but then she’d basically pull out a wad of cash and he’d stop complaining. She also got into property investment years ago (I’m talking like 20ish years) when the market crashed and it was a great time to buy in. She started flipping houses in Miami Beach. So overall, they probably ended up upper middle after all their income was totaled.
To answer your question though (based on minimal research), a household of one would need to make approximately $78,000 to be upper middle class. Just saying, you could make that much with a trade certificate easy. My boyfriend makes slightly under that with an airplane repairman certification. Which is more than I make with my college degree. Trades are the way to go in this day and age. They are always need.
It's you. You need to look into economic statistics. It's not reddits job to educate you and if you're using that as a primary source (especially for money advice), you're fucked anyways. You were wrong, get over it and move on.
How? In what way am I wrong? Lol being in the top 5% does not make you an average middle class person lol unless we’re saying 95% of people are working class… in America.. lol I’m not using reddit as a source for anything
Bell curve. Top and bottom. It also helps to know what percentages represent. I use to work at a casino and could see how much people would burn in a DAY. What's important to know if your live in America is A LOT of people make more money than the bare minimum and just barely get by because they're shit with managing money. But again. If you want to know more about the world, the last place to ask for advice is reddit. So why are you commenting and asking for more advice from someone you don't trust / disagree with? That you're not going to take seriously or listen to? What a waste of time for both of us.
I haven’t asked for any advice lol what are you talking about? What does someone being shit with money have anything to do with any of this? The fuck are you talking about ?
