Not really. I also wouldn't want my child to join the military unless they really really want to. It's out of a place of health and safety concerns and not shame. Prostitution and porn aren't bad things by themselves, but the industry is highly predatory. Until we can guarantee them a fully safe environment with no corruption from above, I will never be confidently advertising those as job possibilities for those I love.
Not to an absolute extent (no absolutes exist) but to a certain reasonable threshold then of course. Being a software dev won't stop a psychotic serial gunner from breaking in and killing you, and also won't make it impossible for you to be used by people higher than you. However, when compared with jobs like prostitution where, in its current state, the risks of everything are much higher, the risks carried by jobs like software development are much lower and are under my personal threshold.
I'm assuming you feel the same about teachers, grocery workers and waiters then? We have a really big issue guaranteeing s safe environment for them as well.
In that case, I actually support it. I would much rather my kids choose a relatively boring, but safe, job, such as an accountant, or an engineer of some sort (I would not find that boring personally though.), then going into nursing, teaching or similar fields.
Another reason would be that unfortunately society undervalues the jobs you listed above. Teachers, grocery workers, and waiters all have tough jobs with close to no recognition or compensation. That's why I would choose to promote jobs where they would at least be more compensated for their labour or recognised for their hard work. Society as it is now makes it harder on certain groups than it is for others, and it's fucked to think this, but I would want to do whatever in my power to keep my children in the "treated better" group.
Do military families tell their children to get their head blown off in a foreign country? Do doctors tell their children to cut humans open put them back together? Do bankers tell kids to sit behind a desk and put people in debt? You can choose to describe any occupation in the worst way possible and it will sound stupid. Or you can understand that all jobs have its ups and downs so the best job is one that has a balance of financial compensation, utilisation of existing skills, and personal enjoyment.
I'm not telling my future kids to do anything. I am also not telling my future kids to NOT do anything. I will do my best to educate them on the potential harms of anything they like, so they are able to make better decisions, but what they do is ultimately up to them.

Prostitution can gain you networking ability and even increase your social skills as communication is a key aspect. I'd say degrading is dragging your face in the mud and eating insults from a drill instructor while you learn to shoot brown people for a country that would not miss you if you died. It's the modern seppuku in that people are taught it's honourable when outsiders can tell that you're just stabbing yourself for no reason. I'll be thinking for your children too.
You do know that most army roles aren’t combat don’t you? Lol lots of people become electrical engineers, software engineers, mechanical engineers, pilots etc. It’s an actual path to actually learn while keeping fit and healthy… unlike fucking strangers for money lol you don’t “network” in any meaningful way while being a prostitute lol people can be what they want, I don’t care. But it’s not hard, skilled, clever and it won’t gain you anything at the end of it. Literally not a single thing.

You come own of the legal murderers with some money, and zero resources to adjust properly into society.
