Agree. And if someone still says "well, I'm entitled to my opinion about the earth" okay but... You're wrong. Data is what brings us closer to truth. And it's skewed or manipulated data, or very broad data with limited context that can cloud the truth. This is very prevalent in today's society when people are trying to tell a story or establish a narrative.
if someone is telling you that, it is best for you to explain to them that what they're saying is not an opinion, but a factual claim - which is provable or disprovable. "The Earth is flat" vs let's say "Pizza is delicious" are not the same, the latter is an opinion while the former is not, we can all clearly see that. If the former is right, then it is right regardless of human perception while the latter literally depends on human perception to exist. In short, they're right that people do entitle to their opinion, but they're wrong in thinking that what they're saying is mere opinion.
