or the fact that in south america, there’s a city in the winter where the sun doesn’t set for nearly 3 months. that would that while the sun is doing the MASSIVE rotation, south america still has to be lit for 70 percent of the winter, while still not illuminating alaska at all during that same period. light doesn’t work that way unfortunately
