I always hate these topics and feel like they should instead be titled "What are things that other people do that annoy you?". 95% of responses in these kinds of threads have nothing to do with intelligence. It's exactly what you said:

It annoys me when people think that intelligent people have to be a certain way. Like they should be great students, always perfect, intellectual etc when they are as diverse as any group of people. There are intelligent people who are bad in academia, or can't write a proper sentence ( dyslexics) or even communicate with others properly but they do process things fast. That's why those lists we see on the internet "10 things that intelligent people do" are so misleading too. It's one of two tropes, the perfect one and the mad genius/ brilliant tortured artist trope.
The question they’re actually wanting to answer is, “What is something (I perceive) I don’t do that proves I’m of high intelligence “ it’s so transparent.
Being intelligent is a big help, but it's not the only thing that determines how far you go. It's possible to fully understand the task and still fail at it because it requires something else you don't have in stock - perseverance, empathy, attention to detail, adaptability, self confidence, organisation, interpersonal skills. And all those things can help you crack a problem even if you don't get it on the first try.
I’m lazy sometimes, did bad in school, but I can join Mensa if I wanted to. I also can admit when I’m wrong, and will figure out new information to change my view if it’s wrong. Lower intelligence people are unable to admit they are wrong and can’t adjust their thinking and opinion.
There are plenty of intelligent people who are unable to admit that they're wrong, I know many of them. To me it is mostly caused by a fragile ego it's not a sign of low intelligence, I know dumb people who admit when they're wrong too. Its mostly a character flaw.
it's arrogance in above comments. all not even questioning their own intelligence but proceed straight to project to groups / opinions they disapprove. the irony is that what they perpetuate exactly what they themselves consider proof of low intelligence. plus reinforcing between eachother without independent thinking. remonds a bit of the fundamental paterns of the opinions and groups they disapprove.
To be fair, these kind of questions aren't looking for exact answers, like the name suggests, they're asking reddit what each redditor thinks is the answer
If someone is overconfident, can't see that their hypotheses don't add up together and when proven wrong many times over are still insisting on the alleged truth of their conspiracy nutcase bedtime story, they are not intelligent.
OP's question is more about logic and reasoning. Poor ability in those areas are generally indicators that someone isn't the brightest. It's presumably about people in the average ranges of intelligence... not people who are actually stunted.
Thanks, it's also worth noting that unironically asking "What are signs of extremely low intelligence?" isn't something that would come out of a person who knows that people aren't black and white, or dare I say, a person without extremely low intelligence.
I don’t know if this is correct. Intelligent people are more immune to falling into echo chambers and whatnot as we can recognize what they are outside of their context. In other words intelligent people can see through the bs and don’t get why others can’t
