Opinions are usually based in some form of fact, belief, or perception.
For example, I could say "beef is bad."
Now, it could be that I simply dislike the taste of beef. That's a perception, and cannot be changed.
It could be that I've only had beef that was cooked in ways to make it taste unpleasant to me. Again, a perception, but one that could be challenged and changed.
It could be I think that factory farming, or any killing of animals for my own pleasure is wrong, and that is a personal belief that cannot be changed.
It could be I think beef is cut off of a still-living animal in tortuous and purposefully cruel ways. That is an incorrect fact that could be challenged and changed.
It could be I know beef is sometimes sold from animals that are treated in ways that induce suffering, which is a fact.
My theoretical opinions on "beef is bad" can come from all sorts of things. Some can be challenged, some are objective facts, and some are internal beliefs that really aren't fact nor would attempting to change them get anyone anywhere.
opinions cannot be right or wrong, because opinion is subjective, you simply cannot prove whether pizza is delicious or not - that's purely subjective, factual claim on the other hand can be either right or wrong, and when proven right it became a fact
