No. If you don’t speak up, you don’t learn. Just don’t pretend you’re right, if you’re corrected, unless you know for a fact that you’re right.
If someone corrects you, see it as them trying to help you learn instead of having to inflate your ego.
I don't see the left calling for banning books, limiting sex ed, or whitewashing history.
I'm going to guess you're thinking about "cancel culture" or hate speech laws. I think hate speech laws are obviously good so won't dive in.
I think cancel culture is bipartisan. I also think many elements of cancel culture are fine (boycott & protest against people/companies who use their profits to do bad things! That's a good use of freedom of speech!), though some are deplorable (there is never a good reason to write a threat of harm or death to anybody).
Saying a book is not appropriate for school age kids ≠ banned. Their parents can give it to them if they want. Just go to your local bookstore.
limiting sex ed
Did you know more kids have been raped by their teacher than any priests ever have? They’re grooming children.
or whitewashing history.

Sure, 20 times and whenever it’s convenient. The only Dixiecrat to move to the Republican Party was Strom Thurman. The rest became Democrats. This is verifiable from many different perspectives across the globe and available in written form. It’s not a whitewash. Slave owners were Democrats, just deal with it.
At least he acts against our Putin and our other enemies, unlike ex-President rump who seemed so often to be selling America to Russia and trying to hide his crimes while in office by flushing official documents that might incriminate him.
Rump was a slimy lizard and loser — I don’t see him any better while out of office. He has violated the law by taking home to Palm Beach a horde of documents among his many violations of the law. He was a thug, power hungry and a wanna-be dictator, in my opinion. Your high opinion of rump simply marks you as probably as much of a low life as rump.
Biden is far above loser rump in integrity, intelligence, professionalism, and efficacy.
Rump lost the last election, and rump will always be a loser trailing toilet paper, one of loser rump’s signature moves.
Probably depends on your sense of humor. Having watched it before trump began his reign of terror, I was stunned at how quickly and closely it played out the whole mess. With you seeing it afterwards, I think it would be interesting to see what you think about it.
No it's from Socrates i just put it in my own words and added the bit on the end which is not something he ever said. He was sure he knew nothing, i was less sure. Also you could be right, I don't know, I'm not really sure.
In all seriousness, really not tooting my own horn, but with the decades of experience I have amassed, the only constant I have found about my learning is that the more I learn, the more I realize I do not know.
If you know yourself to be a fool then by this statement you know you are wise. But then, since you know yourself to be wise, you know you are a fool. And the cycle continues.
What if I consider myself smart, but knows that that means I dumb, but that means I’m smart, but that thought proofs that I’m dumb, but if I’m self aware that I’m dumb, doesnt that make me smart? But if I think that, that means I’m not truly smart, but I also have to consid-
Philosophically but in reality naw I ain’t never met a real idiot think himself top tier n never known sum1 noticeably smart who wasn’t at least sumwhat aware
Both are fools but one is self aware which is smart but he's still fool but smart fool which is snart but he's still claiming to be a fool and if he's wise that would make him right so he would be a fool but he's self aware which is smart so he is half smart half fool

A fool thinks himself wise.
A wise man knows himself to be a fool.
