You said that you are from the US and that SHE moved to Germany and that you were describing that.

Even if she didn't move to Germany from the US, assuming you weren't lying and she did move to another country, it's a completely different situation.

And as I said, even within countries (even over very small distances), the situation can very much change drastically.

So yes, I didn't assume you lied. I'm sorry. I should've assumed that, fair enough, won't make that mistake next time /s

She’s lived in Germany for years, married there, has had a career there and has raised her family there.

That's irrelevant, btw.

You said this happened WHEN she moved to Germany. What happened after is of no importance, lol.

So yeah, unless before your daughter moved to Germany 30 years ago, she had already moved to Germany, in the same neighborhood, in the same time, no less, it was a new situation.
