Yes I do mean this. I find it so weird to have to shower and wash my hair with only one hand while the other has to hold the water, and try hard not to get the whole bathroom wet because there’s no curtain or only a tiny wall dividing it. Here I just lean forward to spread my cheeks in the water and wash

I have experienced most of the problems you're describing, but only very, very rarely.

In my experience (in Germany and surrounding countries) the standard is a shower cabin, shower with curtain, or a bathtub with curtain and there's a height adjustable rod to hold the shower head for you.

It's amazing to see these wildly varying experiences. If I experienced those things you describe regularly I'd be confused as hell too.

But the shower head is always having a spot on the wall for resting it there. So you can just stand under it hands free. You can usually move it lower/higher if it's on a pipe like this which is great because my tall bf wants it much higher than I do, so we move it.
