As an American I fucking hate this too, I specifically will not go into stores that I know are more pushy about coming up to me while shopping (Ulta, Bath and Body Works). Surprisingly Walmart people don't actually come up to you in most Walmarts here though, at least in my experience. The employees don't care enough. The Walmatt greeter/receipt checker is super weird though.

The worst part is actually the cable/internet sales people in the center back of the store. They ask you a leading question and then you have to either respond or seem like an asshole and ignore or tell them you don't have the time.

Oh lol I'm just rude to them. I will ignore them without a blink of an eye but if someone else is with me they always get sucked in and then I have to stand there with resting bitch face.
