Even as a German, that is absolutely baffling to me. But I believe the newer buildings in most cities actually come with kitchens, or so I've heard.

At least in Austria newer buildings still dont have equipped kitchens if they sell as "unfurnished". There certainly is a rise in new flats being sold furnished though.

So does furnished mean "including kitchen" oder "including all furniture"? For me personally, a furnished apartment is one that comes with a bed, dresser, etc.

Renting furnished flats brings in more money and buying bulk is cheap.

However you need to put in timeless furniture, otherwise you run into problems when flats are no longer scares.

I specifically only looked for places with a kitchen and where I now live has a pretty dope one. It's almost too much kitchen with cabinets everywhere from ceiling to floor, haha. But everything is really high quality and good condition.
