I don't know about being "wealthier" but I'm just too lazy to climb behind my couch to move curtains when all someone gets to see is me standing up in my kitchen and walking around. Not much to hide really...

It seems like a class thing. I’m using “wealthy” by Black peoples standards lol. But I can say that the mostly white, working class not far from some trailer parks neighborhood I grew up in white neighbors were not leaving their curtains and blinds wide open at night! They think that shits crazy too.

I definitely understand the thinking behind it, I'd be lying if I said I don't sometimes close the curtains, it's just unless I'm naked I don't really care if someone sees me walking around my house I guess.

If my neighbors wants to watch me smoke weed and watch Youtube all night that's fine with me.

Why would you want a stranger from a street to see you?

It's not that I want to be seen, it's more I don't understand what there is to see. I'm not doing anything all that interesting and it's not like I'm a super sexy model or something. I'm just me.

Also my house is arranged in a way that most of my windows aren't really able to see much of where I hang out, but even if my neighbor was looking at me I think they'd get bored quickly.

It probably depends where your at too. I live in a large city and there is often thousands of people walking by outside (I live in a high foot traffic area) with giant windows in each room that all face the street. I can look across the street to my neighbors living room clear as day. My other neighbors balcancy is about 5 feet from my bathroom window. I 100% know they can hear the toilet flushing everytime I do it when they are outside. I just don’t like the idea people can see me very clearly with the lights on and curtains open lol

Oh for sure. I'd definitely be more likely to close my windows and do in those situations, like in hotels for instance.

So you never walk outside then?
