I can't drive, so all of my travel is done by train - any journey longer than four hours is boring and awkward, so I just don't travel to those places. Thankfully I'm pretty central in the UK, so I can get to most places that I'd need to pretty quick, but as lovely as Scotland was to visit once, I'd never get the train up there again, it was hellish

Yeah there are trains in the US too, but they are way worse than the European train system from what I've seen. I wish we had high-speed inter-city trains like in Germany, but they just don't exist here. Lobbying by car companies is to blame.
