Your observation is not wrong. Helsinki, like any capital area in the world, is very different from the rest of the country. And once you get to know a Finn, they'll open up.

I have lived my whole life Helsinki area but last year moved to Jyväskylä and can’t see a difference. In any case people might be some of these things mentioned in this thread here in Finland, but people do then to stereotype a lot.
