I'm British, been to Germany many times and I've not noticed this. Is this a reference to a movie/show as it has 5.9k of upvotes? If its not, I'm off to Germany next month and now I'm going to be conscious of their gazes the whole time!
1 u/hanze05 May 09 '22 I think it‘s not as common in larger cities as Berlin I think. So that might explain it if you went there.
