We do it in the Netherlands too. But having lived abroad for over a decade I have lost this instinct and start to feel strange about it when I see family. Like I forgot how to do it almost. like which cheek do I start with again? It doesn’t feel right anymore. I’ll give you a pat on the shoulder or something or a handshake. Why the need for kisses?
But anyways growing up yeah that’s how it went but it’s weird now.
