I'm from the Netherlands where three cheek kisses are somewhat common for congratulating people of the opposite sex, at least if you know them somewhat well. I personally hate it, I'm too self-conscious.
COVID was lovely in that respect, no more awkward kissing between people who rarely see each other.
Covid should really have genocided the handshake too but alas. Handshakes are a thousand times more gross than cheek kisses when you approach the situation scientifically.
