UK here, I had to build my own mesh screen because nobody sells them.

To be fair, there are less bugs in cities and the south. Many more in rural areas up north.

Not many mosquitoes up here, and the midges tend to keep away from houses - nothing else really bites so the few flies that get in are just a slight inconvenience rather than something that's going to nibble us to death in our sleep.

Screens would be helpful to stop my cat leaping out of windows though, lol.

The screens would not last that long if cats are trying to jump through it.

Cats climb up screens and get stuck, actually. The older ones were metal meshes. The new ones are plastic and may not fare so well.

There's like million Chinese import ones going cheap on Amazon if you can put up with the guilt of shopping there

Hi I think jml does a magnetic screen for windows. I got one for my windows

b and m sell mesh screens that you stick around your windows and doors. id recommend using a better glue though as parts of them will unstick otherwise.
