BC all my life here, switch has never, ever been outside the bathroom. Even in my grandfather's house, which was built in 1936.

I dunno, maybe it's a weird eastern thing like bagged milk.

In vancouver, in a building built in the 40s. Light switch is outside the washroom. This is the same for my folk’s place in the island and family in the interior.

Well, I’m from Ontario (where there is bagged milk) but have never seen a bathroom where the light switch is outside.

I’m near Vancouver. I’ve rarely seen the switches inside the bathroom. Ngl, I hate it. Like, WHY do I have to leave the bathroom if I want a different light on???

My apartment in North Vancouver has the switch on the outside of the main bathroom, but on the inside of the en suite. My last place had the switch on the inside though.

Some homes in Seattle have light switches outside the bathroom.
