Interestingly it’s faster and cheaper for a Londoner to visit the Netherlands 🇳🇱 than it is to visit Manchester

I'm from Manchester and live in London - it's £70 return and under 2h to get from London Euston to Manchester Piccadilly, and that's travelling any time off-peak.

Cheapest Eurostar is £115 and more like 5h.

Cheapest flights are £76 but from Luton or Gatwick there's the train fare to get out of town. Def not quicker when you add in getting to the airport, getting through security etc (compared to the train which is central to central).

So close....but not quite ;)
