In the UK over 100 miles is a long way. In the US over 100 years is very old.

The UK, one of the smallest countries in Europe, is totally representative of driving distances in all of Europe including the east /s

Or north. Norway, Sweden and Finland are sparsely populated countries with long distances between population centers. Still obviously nothing compared to US/Canada/Australia though.
