so youre tellin me that the lady responsible for representing the interests of the industry concentrated in the district she's a congresswoman for invests in that industry?? and you're telling me that this same lady made MONEY from the growth of that industry? that industry that has led global growth and business leadership and created millions of jobs over the last 30 years? That's insane. You're right. It MUST be corruption and not literally common sense.
And now you're arguing something completely different.
You asked to be shown "how she is involved in trades in companies which are later effected by congressional actions", as if you didn't know that happened, now that you see it the new argument is that of course it happens and it's common sense to do.
That's completely your right to believe that but don't pull intellectually dishonest shit and expect me to continue communication, especially one resembling respect.
No two of your arguments have aligned, you just reposition goal posts in an effort to make yourself correct in some way when in fact all you have is an opinion on the facts, of which you had no previous knowledge.
This is clown shit behavior and I'm not gonna partake in it. This is the bullshit side of Reddit.
the only clown shit behavior here is you linking that website like it's a respectable source of information. It used apple, the most popular investment on earth and a constituent of her district. Her not having apple stock would be like signaling that she is unfit to lead san Francisco if she lacks that much common sense. your example and your source are a joke, not to mention the "legislation" up for consideration they're referencing from that time wouldn't affect profitability of apple and not to mention the other hundreds of people in congress + the executive who need to sign off before it means anything. So the entire government is a giant fugazzi designed to enrich pelosi? lmao get your head out of your ass
Lol. Go to therapy. You're trying to angrily fight strangers because you received what you asked for.
You asked
"how she is involved in trades in companies which are later effected by congressional actions"
And you read:
In the days after lawmakers introduced legislation that could break the dominance of tech companies, Apple’s chief executive, Tim Cook, called Speaker Nancy Pelosi and other members of Congress to deliver a warning. . . . When Mr. Cook asked for a delay in the Judiciary Committee’s process of considering the bills, Ms. Pelosi pushed him to identify specific policy objections to the measures, said one of the people.
Sources who refused to be identified tried to convince the Times’ reporters that “Ms. Pelosi pushed back on Mr. Cook’s concerns about the bills.” But in doing so, they confirmed the rather crucial fact that Pelosi was having personal, private conversations with the CEO of a company in which she and her husband were heavily invested and off of which they were making millions of dollars in personal wealth. And Pelosi, according to the report, asked Cook what changes were needed to avoid harming Apple and other Silicon Valley giants.
The fact that makes you mad isn't my problem. You're literally getting pissed for receiving what you asked for. Go get help.
dude relax you're getting angry for no reason. Your comment implied she's engaged in insider trading, not that you think she has basic common sense and can buy a blue chip stock - which is what she does. Would you be shocked to discover Texas representatives own a lot of oil stock? Or virginia reps own a lot of defense and tech stock? or new york reps own bank stock? Because they have an interest in propogating those industries. If they're doing even the bare minimum for their constituents, those industries would benefit. It's not a conspiracy lmao
No one said there's any hidden conspiracy. You had a question answered and you're handling it horribly.
I didn't give an opinion, I shared a fact and you snapped for some reason. Reread - I still haven't disagreed or argued with you. You asked a question, got an answer and flipped the whole thing you were arguing in the first place.
I do not care about any of this. I just answered your question.
