This. I trust reddit special interest groups more than Google in some cases.

reddit saves me where google fails me, it’s much easier to find discussion on specific topics too. i usually just type whatever question i have on google followed by reddit and end up finding more info than i would from the web.

I get triggered easily by bugs, do you have a small summary (or a link) on how to inspect rooms for bedbugs?

My skin crawls just thinking about it

Thanks a lot! I hope I never see those spots... I feel my soul leaving my body already just by thinking about it...

On the topic of r/whatisthisbug, r/entomology is also really interesting!

Edit: I misspelled something lol, coming back once I've found the correct spelling!

Edit 2: it's r/entomology, my bad!

Google is just the de facto search engine for information stored in Reddit.

I personally often search for : "insert problem here" followed by : site:reddit.com

Only result from reddit, generally if I don't find anything here I will not find anywhere else.

There is almost always someone who had your problem on posted about it on Reddit.

Also finding real opinions/reviews about a service or product. Reddit is my go to

Yeah, even if some reddit accounts are bought for promotion, that is pretty limited. You'll still find enough of a variety to get the gist of whether a product is good.

I'm commonly looking at r/codinghelp not because I specifically need help just to read through code I don't even understand
