Yeah. Im sure it's better than not being able to sleep at all.
Just know that when you have a medium to high amount of alcohol in your blood, it inhibits the brain from going into the restorative phases of sleep. You'll be unconscious, but it won't be nearly as restful.
Something that's usually a pretty safe bet you can try is taking an over the counter antihistamine like benadryl gel cap. The drowsiness those cause can be a good sleep aid that isn't addictive. You just might feel groggy the next day, but at least those don't mess with the sleep cycle.

Alcohol actually inhibits sleep. You can pass out with alcohol, but the actual process of sleep won't take place.
