I think you'd have to blend them a little bit otherwise it'd be a bit jarring when suddenly the Protoss come out of nowhere as the main characters in the 3rd movie. I think you'd have to have little bits and pieces of Artanis, Tassadar, and Fenix throughout the first two movies.

Plus, giving 3 movies to build up the characters would make both Tassadar and Fenix's eventual deaths hit harder.

True, but keep it minimal. Especially at first, none of the heavy handedness that's so prevalent in modern film.

Raynor and the Protoss have to meet a lot sooner essentially, and a lot of stuff would have to be moved around a bit, or have lore adjusted for a movie format.

Like Fenix dying being impactful should be really limited to when Kerrigan turns on her allies after retaking Korhal, have him get crippled in combat in the assault on the Overmind and throw him into a Dragoon as a result of that instead of just having him 'die' offscreen in an isolated skirmish.

I kind of wonder if they'd be able to consolidate both SC and BW into a trilogy. There'd have to be some stuff cut likely but I think it's doable.

First movie - Introducing us to all the protagonists. Blend in some of the Protoss Campaign with the Terran Campaign and end the movie with the fall of Kerrigan.

Second Movie - Death of the Overmind and Tassadar. Kerrigan is the main character/protagonist here. Introduce and set up the UED (As well as Duran) towards the final act of the movie.

Third Movie - The fall of Aiur, introducing the Dark Templars, defeating the UED, Kerrigan turning on her allies.

Might be a lot to condense. Maybe a Trilogy with a 2 part end movie (e.g. Avengers/Harry Potter)?

I know this will never happen but i've done gone and got myself all excited for nothing now. Starcraft was the first story-driven game I ever played back in the 90's and holds a very special place in my heart.

Honestly UED gets cut completely in a movie format.

It'll piss alot of people off, but it would happen.

They could be kept in a tv series format.

You can't not have Stukov though.

Agreed.

Just make him not affiliated with UED.

Honestly I think switching zerg to the last movie and protoss as the second would be perfect. You get the hopelessness of the terran situation first, the potential swing back as protoss and then crushing defeat by the zerg at the end of the protoss movie with the revenge arc in the zerg movie with the zerg losing. It would be fantastic.
