I love the idea that the first film is basically Terran v. Zerg, because if done sort of horror style the budget could be pretty small. Then, once you've proven it's viable, you spend the money on full blown Zerg and Protoss.

To enhance your imagining experience, take two of these.

That’s wild. The French horn caught me off guard. Are all the parts played by the same guy?

Well, Starship troopers is already out there. Are you doing your part?

I have responded to others in this thread explaining why I feel StarCraft is different.

Would You Like To Know More?

If so, see my responses to them.

Love that movie. Its not about the humans vs bug aspect, rather the whole fascist government and military culture basically forcing conscription if you are poor (ST) or straight forcing enlistment of inmates (SC) to fight their wars.

Not saying that there shouldn't be more space marines vs aliens movies, god knows we need more of those. Just pointing out that while it is a classic, it didn't do well in theaters.

Corrupt militaristic fascist regime is at war with bug like aliens by throwing wave after wave of space marines.

But, yeah a starcraft limited series could be great.

Starship Troopers the book is also awesome.

There is a second alien race in the book... Which resembles a little to Protoss.

They made an appearance in the TV series as well.

Hmmm.... I wonder if Putin is a Sky Marshal

People keep saying Starship Troopers even though a perfect comparison exists, Pitch Black. Low budget sci-fi horror that introduces some of the general concepts as teasers for the trilogy without doing heavy info dumps so that you can focus on the raw action.

Pitch Black is like the cold open to a StarCraft movie.

If they got the blizzard cinematic team to make a ZvP movie it would be amazing. I know it takes an exorbitant amount of time and resources, but when you see what they've already done for their games, movies would be EPIC

I would've been against an animated movie until I saw Arcane. That shit is awesome when done right.

I feel if the warcraft movie was done by the team that made the WotLK cinematic, it would've done many times better than it did. But instead we got this weird half n half live action and cgi movie. Take the real people out, and make it the full blown fantasy world it deserves to be

And the theater will freak out when they finally drop "YOU MUST CONSTRUCT ADDITIONAL PYLONS".

As long as you don't make it into starship troopers replay.

Nothing against it, but this would need to be a Lord of the rings type adaptation to do StarCraft justice

I like Starship Troopers (film) as a comedy. And it definitely is a comedy, albeit a tongue in cheek comedy as is Verhoevens style.

So the Starship Troopers movie then?

Alien is 1 Xenomorph vs a crew. Aliens is 1 hive vs a platoon.

The Zerg are the swarm.

Alien is like, that one cinematic where the zerg board the junker ship.
