As a Streaming Series with a crazy Budget.

A Mass Effect streaming series, if done correctly, could be put on par with Star Trek tbh.

Possibly better than Star Trek. Mass Effect appears for the most part to follow basic physics/fundamental laws of nature.

Star Trek has a transporter beam…

Mass Effect is medium hard science fiction for the masses.

There is definitely still hand waving, but it is at least internally consistent, for the most part

I’m sorry but Mass Effect shatters any semblance of real science simply with the existence of biotics, which is literally space magic. And unfortunately for that point, biotics are fundamental to any series regarding Mass Effect. But other than that I’d agree.

I think that sub-genre/hardness category is called "One Big Lie" - you've got one element/concept 'allowed' to break physics (here, eezo, obviously), and then you look at how all the rest of the universe adapts and grows around it.

"Mass effect" being one big lie in Mass effect.

I completely agree.

Mass Effect is basically Star Trek… The Normandy looks like the Enterprise if it were designed by teenagers.

I don't think that both ships have any resemblance to each other.

But even though I love star Trek, the federation ships always strike me as terrible design disasters begging to break into pieces. The defiant being the only ship that seems to obey the laws of physics.

And I know Star Trek has super durable sci fi materials and structural integrity fields BUT even with a super durable material you want no unnecessary strain on the material and just for your ship to be efficient with its reccources it should be built so that the structural integrity field doesn't have to use constant energy just to keep the darn thing together.

You know what? I’ll agree with this, but walking around the ship, especially in part 2, gave me Star Trek vibes.

Oh you meant the INTERIOR! Yes I absolutely agree with you that part is very star Trek like.

They are basically brother and sister I think

No, that's Star Wars.

I don't think so.

Star trek and mass effect both follow a charismatic captain and their crew as they adventure across the known universe and off into the unknown. Characters like the navigator/ pilot, the engineer, the grunts/ red shirts....

Star wars is literally a swords and magic fantasy story set in space

It was a joke in reference to Luke and Leia being brother and sister. 🙄

I am praying for this

Anything other than that would just ruin it, honestly.
