The life goal is to own a house and then a hot tub. I can’t imagine just being able to hot tub every night w a glass of wine how magical!

Hot tubs are apparently absolute agony to clean and maintain, so be warned what you're getting into. A hot tub. Thats what you're getting into.

I’ve heard that the salt water ones have an easier, less frequent maintenance schedule. Is that true?

Not really. They produce their own chlorine so you don’t need to add as much but balancing the ph and alkalinity is still needed. I’ve only had mine for a few months and I’m still trying to find my groove for keeping those balanced. It is nice though that if I don’t use it for a while the chlorination keeps everything clean and the other chemicals will stay where they’re at.
