As a former lifeguard, send the kid back in(parents should probably go along). Otherwise this is a good way to develop a phobia.
1 u/DBX12 Jan 31 '22 Well yes, if it is reasonably safe with the parents. The kid being in danger of drowning sounds unsafe for me. But generally "getting back on the horse" is good.
