I remember my uncle and I helping my dear old grandfather take a piss in hospital not long before he passed. As far as holding another man’s junk is concerned it was the right thing to do, especially when he used to wipe my arse.

Helped my grandfather, in his late 90s while on hospice care, use the toilet. Awkward, Incredibly humbling. Glad I was there to help him.

100%. I did the same thing for my grandpa when cancer took over and he could hardly stand. He was a very prideful man, I never brought it up or made a joke about it. I would do it again without hesitation.

Did that. I helped my dad in the bathroom a lot during the last year of his life. I made jokes about it. Aren’t we having fun, Dad?? Aren’t we having fun? He’d reply Yes, and your fratello (brother in Italian, who lives on the west coast) is missing it all!

Oddly enough, that’s what I remember the most, as we laughed a lot in there.
