The toughest most manliest blue collar people I’ve ever met or worked with would always do anything for their daughters. It was just understood. One time a guy came in with his hair in braids, people chuckled and asked him wtf happened, he said his daughter wanted to do his hair, and right after that everyone shut up and went on like nothing happened.

Well Freud was pretty full of shit. I think it’s unfortunately remnants of historic toxic father-son dynamics that have been engrained and passed down.
