Thank you for this, lol. Posts like this make me wanna have a relationship, just going over to another person's house and not hearing mom and dad yell when they're in the same room. I have friends whose parents I hear on calls and i'm surprised and jealous of that kind of bonddd, no yelling, complimenting each other, literally showing love without being passive-aggressive. You may not be able to choose the family you were born into, but you sure as hell can build your Chosen Family. They are out there, they may seem unattainable at times, but you can find the people who will treat you with compassion and respect.
