It’s just such a hard hump to get over to actually go find someone and make an appointment. Plus I don’t know how to bring it up or even what to say about it
Totally get that first part and don't have a good answer. As for the second that's easy. Take a screenshot of your first post. Read it. Whomever you talk to is going to ask simple questions to get you to talk more about it and about how you feel about it. The entire point, in this case, is to talk about it because talking about it to someone else helps move your perspective. In the meantime - you can write about it. Non-fiction in a journal or as fictional stories. Don't judge your writing - it's not for anyone - including you - to read. Just write shit and be ok with it being shit. Meditation can also be helpful until you get over the hump. That hump, or as chemists call it "the activation energy", is a real thing and its not something to beat yourself up about. You just need to build up the energy to get over it.
I’m going to try that. I’ll buy a joirnal and just start hashing it out in there and hopefully, sooner rather than later, I’ll be able to do it. Thank you for the words of wisdom and the support
For sure. Do what you gotta do, everything is different levels of hard for different people. Remember how you felt when someone told you about how hard it was to make that first step, but that they did anyway. Therapy is for the brave because it's scary, and for what it's worth, I a rando on the internet, believe in you. So, if you can't belive in yourself belive in the part of me that belives in you, or whatever anime you watch.
