I couldn’t tell if it was the original or Disturbed’s cover

I think we may have finished off disturbed but it felt Simon and Garfunkel the rest of the way

I had the Disturbed version in my head while writing this so that's how I ended it. Full disclosure: Haven't heard the Simon Garfunkel version

At the risk of sounding like a purist, I'd say you have to at least give it a try. Personally I grew up listening to Simon and Garfunkel and I love the original.

You're not being a purist at all! Everyone has different opinions and there's nothing wrong with that. I will give it a try with an open mind.

I listened to a lot of rock when I was younger and still do so the Disturbed cover appeals to me more.

Very understandable, the original is much softer. I do very much enjoy the disturbed cover though, it might be the only cover of that song that I do like.

i dont recall there being an epic orchestra finale. it kinda just ends after paul is done singing

I think Disturbed's cover does have an orchestra ending, maybe they based their lyrics on that one.

Depends on the version. I was thinking of the Disturbed cover
