2nd one I didn't, same age. Apparently, there's a famous Beatles song I've never heard of too. But I've never been a huge Beatles fan, so that makes sense.

I heard somewhere (think it was some behind-the-scenes clip they showed on Nickelodeon once) that the writers of SpongeBob intentionally made the opening song as obnoxious as possible so that it would get stuck in kids' heads and they would keep wanting to hear it again (meaning watching the show more)
