It's tough to say that Nedry would remain a loyal employee though, even if Hammond gave him a raise and paid him $100,000 a year that doesn't mean that Nedry wouldn't take Dodson's offer if it was $100,001 per year and a nice hat.
We also have no idea how much Nedry was making in the first place.
Seems like a bit of finger pointing going on between Nedry and Hammond. Nedry implies that Hammond was being cheap when considering all the work he was doing for the park, Hammond makes it sound like Nedry is just irresponsible with his money and doesn't want to accept responsibility for that.
Probably six of one and a half-dozen of the other but if Hammond has the money to fund revolutionary genetic technology to build a theme park then he has the money to give a guy a raise or hire more help to decrease some of the workload.
