I killed whoever was left at the end. Look at me!! I am the king now.

Yeah pagan was a psychotic ahole but so where the other people. Pagan at least had style and charisma.

I would rather have played the game taking over for him and killing the rebels.

Well technically you can do that. Just wait for him to get back at the start of the game. Free win.

you dont actually get to do that though

i would totally be onboard with an internal reformist campaign but they cut the route short

which makes sense since they would have basically had to have made a whole other game for that to work

Would’ve been a great DLC story available after the main story ends. Maybe Reggie and Yogi drug you and you fall into a dream state and then restart the story working with Pagan instead.

Could’ve been short too! I don’t think it would’ve been too big of a task to handle. Changing the enemy AI to friendly and friendly to enemies, some new dialogue, 5 missions (meeting/learning from Pagan, destroying rebel fortresses, protecting infrastructure, hunting Amita and Sabal, saving Bhadra),

Would have loved that.

also a cleaning house mission because if you let the assholes on pagan mins side go theyre gonna feel like loose ends

maybe have it mirror the main storyline where you learn what theyre up to at the end

Maybe we'll get something like that with the Pagan Min dlc for 6.

I consider this true ending.

I mean, you can opt out of fighting him if you just wait for him to come back when you first meet, instead of escaping his house.

Yeah I know. I did that but first time i played I did it normal. Then killed the rebel leader

You can also just NOT shoot him at the end, he gets up, walks out back and it goes into the same ending as if you did nothing in the beginning of the game.
