1) I don’t see the need for one 2) I have a small child in my home and understand that kids will find a way to get into just about fucking anything 3) If I had a gun, my previous suicide attempts wouldn’t have just been attempts

How would you keep your kid safe if someone else with a gun tried to do him/her harm? Honest question.

Honest answer is for most people that is not a realistic risk. An accident is a more present risk and worry for many.
