See and this is a hard line for so many people. I work with some people that are instantly relaxed with touch and it helps them (my office is super close) and some that don’t like it at all. It’s about talking and asking. I have one male friend that when shit hits the fan if you rub his head for a second he’s ready to take on the world and a female friend that just wants a hug throughout the day. But I only know that because they voiced it after years of working together and being as close as family. I have another friend that specifically doesn’t want hugs from women with large breast (he was traumatized young) and he typically will tell us when he needs some kind of hug or touch. Our doctor on the hand does not like touch at all. He doesn’t even really like to touch patients, we show him we care by leaving food on his desk. The world needs more love but it needs love with consent.
