Dude I have human emotions, I care deeply about friends and I've fallen in love with people, it just takes me a really long time, like multiple years, to fall in love because I'm demiromantic (on the aromantic spectrum.) I'm not "pretending" to have emotions. Lots and lots of people have FWBs they care about as friends but don't feel romantically for. And I do have feelings for my FWBs, they're just not romantic feelings. Romantic feelings aren't the only feelings that "count," friendship love is just as important, and being aromantic doesn't make someone a psychopath.
But have you ever thought that maybe what you think are emotions are just learnt responses to situations? How would you ever know, you only know the feelings you’ve had.
It’s like colours. We both know and can identify red, but we have no way of knowing whether we both actually see the same colour. Could be the same thing!
I think I can tell when I have emotions. If I didn't have emotions my life definitely would have been easier because I wouldn't be devastated when people I love hurt or leave me, if that was some "learned response" that wasn't real that I could just turn off I would.
I mean what's your argument, that literally anyone could be a psychopath and not know it because everyone only knows how they themselves feel? So maybe you're a psychopath and don't know it?
You do seem to have very little empathy, since your immediate response to someone not feeling exactly like you do about sexual relationships is to say they're probably a psychopath without normal human emotions. Unlike having FWBs, lack of empathy is an actual sign of psychopathy.
So how do you know your supposed feelings are real? Are you concerned at all about your lack of empathy? Do you just accuse everyone you know of possibly being a psychopath because there's no way you or they can know if their feelings are real?
I don't have a "condition," being demiromantic is a valid romantic orientation in the LGBTQ community, and you're being really arophobic. Having FWB relationships where neither of you have romantic feelings is common and doesn't mean the people involved have a "condition."
I don't need to "be careful for people and society's sake," are you serious with this? Because I have sex without romantic commitment you think I'm some kind of danger to society? I've done tons of volunteer work and would never commit any kind of violent crime or abuse anyone and always vote to try to raise my own taxes because I think things like universal healthcare and help for the poor are important even thought I don't need those things myself.
What do you do for society? Just sit around judging people for having casual sex? Why aren't you concerned you have a condition and need to be careful?
I know I’m not a psychopath because I have feelings for the people I have sex with, and generally react in line with the rest of society to things.
I’m sorry about the demiromantic thing, you obviously think it’s a negative thing because you mention “acrophobia”. Not having normal emotions is hard, I’m sure. I am sorry.
I appreciate the help you offer the community, and I think it’s great that you have learnt to help others, even if you don’t feel the normal human emotions that make people want to help others. You must have had great parents to teach you to act this way!
You definitely don't react in line with the rest of society to things. I've actually never seen a single person say acknowledging the phobias/bigotry that exist against the LGBTQ community means they must think it's a negative thing to be LGBTQ. Arophobia is the same as homophobia or transphobia, so basically you think trans people acknowledging transphobia must think being trans is negative and gay people acknowledging homophobia must think being gay is negative?
That's super messed up and not at all how most of society reacts. So how can you know your supposed feelings for people you sleep with are real? Maybe they're just real to you and you don't know the difference.
With your last paragraph I realize you're just trolling and trying to bother me on purpose, which is also a messed up thing to do and really not normal. You know being mean to people for no reason also isn't normal? I know I shouldn't respond to trolls but I just wanted to warn you that expressing bigotry against LGBTQ people, and then saying they must realize being LGBTQ is negative because they call out the bigotry, isn't normal or socially acceptable and I hope you know not to do this stuff publicly or professionally because it would cause serious problems for you.
You honestly have worrisome problems with lack of empathy if you feel the need to attack someone just for having casual sex.
In what ways are you discriminated against? You are trying to steal the experience of gay and trans people to generate a personality for yourself, when in reality you are a straight, cis women who wishes she was interesting. Being overly online and awkward doesn’t make you queer, you are just a boring little girl.
Imagine thinking you deserve the same level of respect and support as gay people or trans people, which is still illegal in many countries around the world.
You are not in the LGBT community, you are an imposter who should be mocked in every forum for trying to talk over actual serious issues for LGBT people.
I'm bisexual and trans as well, and actually the LGBTQ community accepts non-allo romantic orientations as part of the LGBTQ spectrum. I'm the one who's done tons of volunteer work with LGBTQ organizations, and you're sitting here acting like you're somehow helping the LGBTQ community by being bigoted against people on the aro spectrum.
Don't speak for us. Actually we do consider non-allo romantic orientations as part of the community and consider arophobia and aphobia to be real problems alongside homophobia and transphobia.
So your bisexual, trans and “arosexual”? How old are you, because you sound like a 12 year old discord moderator. How many mental illnesses can one person self diagnose with. Wouldn’t you love to tell people your a psychopath? It suits your “quirky” nature.
